Cropping removes pixels outside the selected rectangle without stretching the area that remains. You can drag the on-image selection or enter its left, top, width, and height values for a precise result.
Selection, preview, and full-resolution export run in the browser. Very large source images still need to be decoded into memory even when the final crop is small, which can be demanding on mobile devices.
The selected pixels are copied without scaling, but the result is newly encoded as PNG. It does not add JPEG loss, though source metadata is not retained.
