Free Add Text to Image – how it works
Add Text to Image lets you type any caption, label, quote, or annotation directly onto a photo or graphic and position it exactly where you want by dragging it on the live canvas. There is no server involved — your image is loaded and rendered entirely inside the browser tab.
Choose the font family, size, color, opacity, and alignment. The text is composited onto the image at full resolution when you click Apply, and you download the final image in JPG, PNG, or WebP format. The original file on your device is unchanged.
Common uses include adding captions to social media photos, labelling product images, creating meme-style overlays, and adding copyright notices to photos before publishing online.

How to use Add Text to Image online
- Upload your image. Drop a JPG, PNG, or WebP image into the tool. A live preview canvas appears with your image.
- Type and style your text. Enter the text, choose font, size, color, and opacity. Drag the text overlay to position it anywhere on the image — not just preset anchor points.
- Apply and download. Click Apply Text to flatten the text into the image pixels at full resolution. Download the result in your preferred format.
